WHU Student Awarded Best Thesis by ASPRS

This year, the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing(ASPRS)awarded Chen Min, a doctoral student in the State Key Lab of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing at Wuhan University for his oral report on Remote Sensing Images.

The topic of his thesis is Robust Affine-invariant Lines Matching for High-resolution Remote Sensing Image and was supervised by China Academy of Science and China Academy of Engineering member, Professor Li Deren and Professor Shao Zhenfeng.

ASPRS is one of the most prestigious conferences on photogrammetry and remote sensing. This year’s meeting, with 11 topic themes and 89 parallel sessions, allowed scholars to discuss their latest theories and perspectives on photogrammetry and remote sensing. About 300 scholars from all over the world participated in the conference and presented their findings.
