(Du Haochen)During last two months, students in School of P&M Engineering had a really amazing summer vocation. Some of them took part in the exchange program to America, some took the class about robot installing, and there is a great deal of them threw themselves into social practice programs. What deserves to be mentioned the most is a small team which named Love Journey. It all because they did not only had an eventful journey but also brought their knowledge to kids deep in the mountains.

Unwittingly, the Love Journey (volunteer teaching team) has been accompanying the children of Anyang City, Henan province for seven years. The team includes more than 20 members and stays there more than 20 days this summer. Volunteers act as teachers and friends to teach courses including almost every subjects and play games with children like painting, dancing, and handcrafting.

Maybe the pictures that they put on the internet are interesting and attractive, but as a matter of fact, the volunteers had a really tough life. Firstly, they have to cook themselves and tolerant the dull food menu every day. Meanwhile, they have to prepare lessons till midnight without air-conditioner or fanner, but they still insist finishing the entire teaching mission. As they say,” No matter how tired I’ve been through, I will immediately make myself full of energy as soon as I see the lovely faces of those children.”

Actually it’s a quite long trip, but every volunteer thinks it’s short and precious, for they’ve built tight friendship with their students.
