(Reporter: Jiyang Shen; Editor: Ang Xiao) Observed in Japan, the Fete of Spring is celebrated to welcome spring, wish for good luck of new year and wash out the bad luck of last year. During the period, native people with their family go to Temple Fair and watch the fireworks and performances, which is similar to the Lantern Festival in Chinese culture.
On April 13th, this year’s celebration in WHU was hold successfully by Japanese Club, which brought people lots of fun and relaxation. When it comes to the celebration, a member holding a post of activity department of the club said that it was full preparation and clear-cut division of labor that made it successful.
According to the club member’s recalling, the editorial department was responsible for designing the poster, and the outreach department was appointed to get the sponsorship. Meanwhile, activity department was in charge of propaganda as well as preparation, transportation and arrangement of the property.
On Thursday, leaflets were sent out to students for giving a brief introduction about the celebration. Many students had a taste for the activity, which made the propaganda smoothly without a hitch. Although it took a long time to give out all the leaflets, students didn’t feel exhausted at all. As they walked back to the dormitory, they stumbled across the sakura nearby fully blooming, which seemed to indicate that it was the right time to celebrate the arrival of spring and participate in the Fete of Spring.
