（Edited by Jiyang Shen, Kanghua yang)Aimed at enriching the life of our college students, the student entertainment event named Mingxing Cultural Festival was organized by the student union of the School of Power and Mechanical Engineering. Supported by the school student union, on the afternoon of May 17th, the kite flying competition planned by our class was successfully carried out on the 9-1-2 playground by our monitor.

All the classmates of the 4th class had already arrived at the playground in this afternoon when the clouds covered the sun, the weather was cool, and the breeze was blowing, the monitor carrying the kites. Everyone worked together to assemble the kites. And some students even can't wait to have a try, causing the fact that empty playground is full of our classmates running freely. The afternoon was gradually filled with joy and laughter. After most of the students almost mastered the skills of kite flying, the monitor decided a kite relay, which means that every student are supposed to take the kite in the playground to run half a circle and try to fly the kite high and far. After a while, everyone standing on the playground took turns to take over the kite to participate in the activities under the leadership of the monitor. The kite flew higher after everyone's running figure, and after the last student finished the relay race, the kite had been firmly in the air. Everyone's faces were filled with joy with their eyes focusing on the kite in the high sky.

Eventually, the monitor organized the whole class to take the kites, stand in a row on the playground, and fly the kite together. At the same time, the sun shone through the thick clouds on the slowly rising kites, which loaded with each classmate's dream, flying to the sky.

All the students taking part in today's activity enjoyed themselves very much. I hope that everyone can release their academic pressure and gain something mentally and spiritually at the end of the activity. I also hope that the cohesion in the class will be stronger in the future with the help of the activity.
