Abstract

Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) utilizing thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials are very promising due to high efficiency and good possible lifetime characteristics. However, achievement of highly efficient pure deep blue TADF materials is still challenging. In this study, new deep blue TADF emitters with rigid donor and acceptor moieties are reported. Our synthesized emitters show deep blue photoluminescence (PL) peaks at near 450~460 nm and high PLQY of over 90%. Fabricated TADF blue devices with our synthesized emitters show high EQE of 25.7%~39.8% with color coordinate of (0.14, 0.15) ~ (0.15, 0.32). When we applied the hole type and low polarity host material, our TADF blue devices indicate very deep blue color of (0.14, 0.07) ~ (0.14, 0.15) and high EQE of over 20%. The detailed our emitter design concept with its characteristics will be discussed at the presentation.
