Yuansheng Jiang: Distinguished Alumni of Wuhan University



Yuansheng Jiang, born in 1931, is from Yichun, Jiangxi Province. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry at Wuhan University in July 1953, and was recommended for admission to be a postgraduate student of the Department of Chemistry at Jilin University in August of the same year. Prof. Jiang is currently a professor and a doctoral supervisor of the Department of Chemistry at Nanjing University, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a physical chemist. In Chinese Chemical Society, he plays roles of director, executive director, deputy director of Committee of Physical Chemistry and committee member of Committee of Computing Chemistry. Besides, he is also the special director of World Federation of Theoretical Organic Chemists and the young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions at the national level.
