Wang Dihua elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry

Recently, Wang Dihua, Professor of School of Resource and Environmental Sciences, was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).

Wang Dihua is a scholar of many honors: the recipient of  the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the participant in the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University (NCET) supported by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Program for Young and Middle-aged Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talents by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). He expertizes in Materials and Environmental Electrochemistry and conducts researches mainly on new technologies and materials for innovative technologies for sustainable resource and energy. Prof. Wang has obtained pioneering and leading research results in green metallurgy process by molten salt electrochemical reduction of solid compounds, value-added carbon and oxygen production by molten salt CO2 capture and electrochemical transformation process (MSCC-ET process) as well as waste biomass utilization by molten salt carbonization (MSC process), etc. Besides, he is the author of more than 150 papers published in such top journals of the Royal Society of Chemistry as Energy & Environmental Science, Chemical Society Reviews, etc. Wang has also been granted over 20 invention patents.
