2023 marks the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the momentous 130th anniversary of the founding of Wuhan University.
Early on the morning of October 1, teachers and students of Wuhan University gathered in front of the Administration Building to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the birth of the People's Republic of China, witnessing the solemn moment of the five-star red flag being raised.

As the ceremony began, the National Flag Guards marched with precision, displaying a soaring, majestic and unwavering presence.
The national flag numbered 2023-0124, which had previously flown in Tian’anmen Square on May 4 of this year and been officially presented to Wuhan University on May 31, was unfurled at this flag-raising ceremony.
Several leaders from the university are present to deliver speeches.
During the ceremony, teacher and student representatives from the Economics and Management School and the Wuhan University Primary School as well as other students recited poems paying tribute to the prosperity of the motherland.

“My motherland and I cannot be separated for a moment.” In the uplifting and melodious singing, the whole audience made up of teachers and students, chorused together to offer the most sincere blessings to the beloved motherland.
