Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, this year’s graduates stayed at home from winter vacation to summer holiday and defended their dissertations online. Such experiences are unexpected and unprecedented. Fortunately, at the end of their campus life, they could return to Luojia and spend an unforgettable season with unforgettable people. Before graduating from WHU, they have a lot to say.

To the Archway Gate
There we met her for the first time and could never ever forget;
To the Cherry Castle
There we appreciated the blossoms for three years and missed in the final;
To the Administrative Building
There we watched the national flag raising in the fresh morning;
To the Trestle Bridge
There we talked about big dreams while sitting on the edge;
To the Plum Playground
There we went to exciting movies with friends all around;
To the Main Library
There we came across too many stories and ideas to rely on memory;
To Luojia Mountain
There we made friends with shining figures to whom we can always turn.
To Wuhan University and my sweetest ones
And to our great expectations and future reunions!

The fairy pink petals again flutter into the sky;
The East Lake grass quietly grows on the weir.
In this summer to come, I shall say goodbye;
For seven springs and falls, I have been here.
Sometimes I may sigh how fast the days do fly
There’re many thanks untold and beauties to find
My delights and sorrows are all taken in your eyes
The lovely moments will never fade off my mind:
The blushing debut to interpret as an in-between;
The lost nights to struggle like a straying sparrow
The heated discussions by a window of green;
The merry laughter through the echoing tunnel.
So long as we can think or fists can fight,
So long lives youth and youth leads to light.

Naked came I into WHU, but naked needn’t I go for luggage of missing to you. Graduation is not only an end to a period, also a commencement of a new period. May all of us have health, happiness and outstanding success in the following ventures.

Cao Siyi, Bachelor of Arts
The four years that I spent in WHU is undeniably the most precious period in my life. I enjoyed the beautiful campus view, the high-quality education given by professors, the presence of outstanding fellows, and the golden opportunities offered by the university. It is sad that we have grown up and have to leave our beloved WHU. I hope next time when I come back and meet WHU, I will be a better person that can proudly say: I’m WHUer.

My beloved WHU
You give me passion and ambition
You raise me up to stand on mountains
May you get better and better
My respected teachers
You provide me freedom and wisdom
You raise me up to more than I can be
May you live long and prosper
My trusted friends
You bring me warmth and strength
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
May you stay young forever
All the best memories come back clearly to me
It’s yesterday once more
Never saying goodbye to you
For you a thousand times over

Gently, we go, just as we gently came. It’s the last day, but it’s always Day One. Wave our hands and send best wishes to WHU. From the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Information Sciences, the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Hongyi Honor College, we pursue our dreams and embrace a bright and brilliant future. We will always bear in mind the school motto of “Self-improvement, Perseverance, Truth-seeking and Innovation” and stick to it.
