This week, as Wuhan University was celebrating its 120th anniversary, alumni from all over the world sent their best wishes to their alma mater.
In his congratulatory letter, the Hubei provincial government said “WHU is a top university in China and enjoys a strong international reputation. Since its establishment, WHU has been a pioneer in China’s higher education reform and innovator, while making tremendous contributions to economic and social development”.
Hubei Provincial Party secretary Li Hongzhong came to WHU to express his hope for the university reaching even greater heights. Hubei Provincial Governor Wang Guosheng called to extend his congratulations for achieving 120 years of success.
Karim Masimov, WHU alumni and Kazakhstan's former prime minister, wrote in his congratulatory letter “my study at WHU has become one of the most precious memories in my life. I sincerely hope that WHU will become more prosperous in the future”.
President of National Taiwan University of Arts Xie Yongcheng said in his congratulatory letter that “it is an honor that my university has established good ties with WHU so that students from both sides can mutually benefit.”
Wuhan University has received hundreds of congratulatory letters and emails from provincial leaders, partner universities, alumni, students, and parents.
