Professor Jin Xianbo Wins China Electrochemistry Youth Award

Professor Jin Xianbo, from Wuhan University’s College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences, has won the 2013 China Electrochemistry Youth Award. He is the third winner from the college, after Prof. Zhuang Lin and Prof. Chen Shengli won in prior years.

Jin Xianbo studied for his bachelor degree at the WHU chemistry department and has been teaching at WHU since completing his doctoral degree. He has been a visiting scientist for the Royal Society and the University of Nottingham both in the United Kingdom. As a scholar, Prof. Jin has led ambitious research covering the basic theory of electrochemistry, material preparation and technological innovation.

Up till now, he has been involved as a leader in several research projects for the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 50 SCI theses in German top chemistry journals and applied about 10 patents home and abroad.

The China Electrochemistry Youth Award is the highest award set up by China Electrochemistry Committee to reward excellent young scholars with great potential and achievements in electrochemistry research.
