Wang Jing Awarded the Order of Academic Palms

On May 8th, Wang Jing, the Wuhan University Office of International Affairs deputy director, was awarded the Medal of the Order of Academic Palms by the French Consul General in Wuhan, Rambo, for her contribution in promoting French language and French Culture.

Rambo presented the medal to Wang Jing, thanking her for her devotion to Sino-France educational and cultural exchange. Over the past three decades, Wang Jing has pushed and helped establish ties between Wuhan University and Universities in France. “The honor belongs to Wuhan University,” Wang Jing humbly claimed in her speech as she promised to continue to work for closer Sino-French ties.

WHU Executive President Feng Youmei said the medal reflects the contributions that Wang Jing has made to the extraordinary level of cooperation and exchange between Wuhan University and France. She encouraged the international affairs office to develop the Sino-France friendship even further.

The Order of Academic Palms is a medal awarded by the French Ministry of Education to those who have made outstanding contributions to French Culture and Education.
