WHU Receives Second Most Awards in Humanities and Social Sciences

According to the Ministry of Education, Wuhan University has received the second most awards, 43 in total, in humanities and social sciences for all universities and colleges in China.

Since 1995, out of 3220 humanities and social science awards given to universities in China,WHU ranks the third among Chinese universities with 176 awards.

Three recent academic works winning first prize are: Reflection on Two Questions in Research on Sinicization of Marxism by Tao Delin; The Research on China and World during the Anti-fascist War by Hu Dekun, Han Yongli, Tao Wenzhao, Li Shian, Wang Jianlang and Peng Dunwen, etc.; A Comparative Study on Economic Development during Developed Country in its early stage and Modern Developing Countries by Tan Chongtai, Ma Ying, Ye Chusheng, Pan Min, Wen Jiandong and Zhou Jun.

The aim of these awards is to reward the progress made in national philosophy and social sciences and encourage researchers to further develop their innovative works at universities around China.
