For the first time, the Ministry of Education and the General Administration of Press and Publication have jointly signed an agreement on improving Wuhan University.
The purpose of this agreement is to promote the development of various forms of media, advance cultural related industries as foundations of the China’s economy, and to support the reform of WHU.
According to the agreement, the Ministry of Education and the General Administration of Press and Publication will support WHU in three aspects: human resource development, technological support and establishing innovative platforms for national publications and media.
WHU and the General Administration of Press and Publication have maintained a long relationship. Most recently, the General Administration of Press and Publication established the Base for the Cultivation of Senior Talent in Publication and the Base for the Cultivation of Senior Talent in Printing at WHU in March 2007 and September 2011 respectively.
