On November 10, a Wuhan University entrepreneurship team won the champion of 2011 Intel & Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge (IBTEC), the second time a Chinese team has won the contest. Altogether 20 teams from 20 different countries competed in the competition.

The WHU Team was composed of three members: Li Jing, a postgraduate student in the Economics and Management School majoring in marketing; Yu Fangzhou, a junior finance engineering major; and Qin Xuan, a senior advertising major in the School of Journalism and Communication.

The WHU team, named Forward (Gaitu), won the champion for its project Gaitu.com, a website created by Yu Wei, a doctorate student in the WHU Computer Science School. Gaitu is an integrated, e-commerce platform that enables consumers to add special effects to photos without expensive, difficult-to-use photo-editing software.
