On May 12th, Joseph Edward Zadrozny, the U.S. Consul General in Wuhan visited WHU to discuss with officials from relevant departments on the potential of educational and cultural cooperation between WHU and American institutions of higher education.

Vice President Li Fei introduced WHU’s historical evolution, subject setting, comprehensive strength, and its cooperation with the American universities in particular. He hoped that under the support of the U.S. Consulate General in Wuhan, WHU would further expand substantive cooperation with the American universities, such as increasing the number of exchange teachers and students, building up the cooperation platform for science and technology and so forth.

Zadrozny said that the consulate general planned to start up a visa service before the end of 2016, providing information and consultation services for teachers and students who need to apply for visas to the U.S. so as to improve the efficiency of the visa process. At the same time, he indicated that this visit was meant to create a better understanding of WHU and to build a bridge in what regards the Sino-American cooperation and exchange.

It is known that WHU had started its cooperation with some American universities as early as 1980s. Among these universities , Ohio State University was the first American university to conduct cooperation with WHU. Following 30 years of continuous development and exchange, WHU is proud now to be in cooperation  with more than 60 American universities and institutions.
