Xu Hongxing

Prof. Hongxing Xu obtained his PHD degree in Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden in 2002, and then he joined the Lund University as assistant professor and has been a visiting professor at there since 2005. He joined the faculty at Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) in 2005 and has been the Director of Nanoscale Physics&Devices Laboratory, Insitute of Physics at CAS from 2009-2014. He joined the faculty of Wuhan University in 2012, and he is currently a Professor and Associate Dean in school of Physics&Technology, and Director of Center for Nanosicence and Nanotechnology, and Dean of Institute for Advanced Study, Wuhan University. His research background is in Surface-enhanced spectroscopy, nanophotonics, plasmonics and those devices. He is the associate editor of Optics Express and Nanoscale. He has been selected as a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences in November 2017. He is the recipient of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars(2006), the China Youth Award of Science and Technology(2010), the ZhuliYuehua Outstanding Professor Award of CAS(2011), the CAS International Cooperation Award for Young Scientist(2012), the Special Government Allowances of the State Council(2013), the Rao Yutai Physics Award of Chinese Physical Society(2013) , and the Young and Middle-aged Leading Scientists(2015). He has published more than 160 refereed articles, organized more than 10 international conferences and given more than 50 invited presentations at international conferences and workshops, has been cited more than 8300 times (Total Citation in 2014 has been more than 1600 times, and 20 Articles has been cited more 100 times) with a Web of Science H-index in the 44s.
