The University 8th Young Teachers Teaching Competition was held on Nov. 1st. Three faculty members of Economic and Management School, Wuhan University attended in the final and gained outstanding performance. Prof Guo Lin from the department of world economics awarded first place in the bilingual teaching section, Prof Hu Jingjing from the department of economics won the second prize and Prof Shen Xiaoliang from the department of management science and engineering won the third place in the Chinese teaching section.

The bilingual teaching section was added in this year’s competition. Prof Guo Lin’s presentation ” Exchange Rate Determination：An Asset Approach” left a deep impression on jurors. Her was most applauded by her fluent English, well-organized teaching and strong ability in the class interaction. 

In the Chinese teaching section, Prof Hu Jingjing lively elaborated theoretical principles using case study in the topic of production possibility boundary. Her outstanding PowerPoint slides and confident teaching style added charisma to  her presentation.

Prof Shen Xiaoliang, he used easy-to-understand examples to let every audience understand professional word in the teaching task titled “free business model”, and his progressive catechesis was definitely a highlight in the competition. 

The competition was lasted for a whole day, 36 candidates demonstrated their teaching ability and unique style.
