"A cat lover's paradise"

For cat lovers, Wuhan University is a paradise.  Let me introduce you to some of our furry friends.

Looking back and smiling gracefully, this princess cat surely captures countless hearts of students. She seems to be claiming, “Maybe you are brave enough to pursue me, but you will never get my heart.”

What could be more exciting than having a kitty notice you and run into your arms?

On a pleasant afternoon, as you walk along the lakeside of Xing Lake, all of a sudden, a cat and you lock eyes. Relax! It’s nothing but true love. So, when love comes knocking at your door, all you need to do is open your arms.

Scientifically, cats share the same ancestry as tigers. But, like most of us, you might not be very aware of this fact until you encounter this very special cat. Overwhelmed by its tiger-like appearance and powerful aura, you can’t help but say, Your Highness, I respectfully bring you your breakfast,”  as you offer some cat food to him.

Have you ever wondered what to do if the cats don’t reciprocate your love despite your selfless efforts? Well, I have to say, you worried too much. Look at this little white cat with the shape of a loving heart on her body! It shows its love so unrefutably. So just keep loving them.

Sunlight at noon makes people sleepy. The same goes for cats. With half-closed eyes, a relaxed posture and a bed made of leaves, this cat is having a nap. Doesn’t that look just like you in maths class?

You might find it quite hard to find even just one cat in the shadows at night. Why? Maybe because they are the shadows themselves.

If you are lucky enough to have the chance to interact with a cat, be mindful not to disturb their lifestyle. For example, if the cat is resting, you can causally try to entice it into play using a twig. And if you are even luckier, the kitty might reach out to you.

If you thought there were only cats, cats and more cats inside the campus of Wuhan University, then you will be surprised to see this:

With crystal-clear eyes, smooth and soft fur, a little black nose and a slim body, this dog will catch your attention at the first glimpse. You can tell he is that all-rounded, full-of-deep-love student still in dog school. And, maybe, he has just finished playing a game of catch with one of his beloved cat-friends.

If something black cuts across the road of Luojia Hill during your morning run, don’t be frightened. That’s just our fox friend hunting for prey and rest assured, that prey is not you.
