In order to enhance students' awareness of security, improve students' self-protection ability, and protect their lives and property safety，the students carried out safety and fire training by the Wu Chang Public Security Bureau, the fruit lake fire squadron officers and our school security department teachers in the engineering department playground in September 14th.Meanwhile, we invited Mr. Wu, who comes from the Wu Chang Public Security Bureau, and Mr. Lin, the coach of the fruit lake fire squadron officers. They aimed to explain the knowledge about campus safety and fire situation to students. Deputy Secretary of Party committee Wang Siming hosted this fire escape exercise.
At the beginning of this meeting, Mr. Wang introduced all policemen to our students. In the meanwhile, he also emphasized the importance of fire prevention education. Then, Coach Lin, the fruit lake fire squadron officer, gave us students a detailed explanation about how to escape from fire and how to avoid fire. As a matter of fact, he talked mainly about three things. Firstly, he told us that focusing on using electrical equipment safely is the most useful measure. Secondly, he said that we must report to the police as soon as we find the fire. What’s more he taught us how to use fire-fighting equipment. The last but not the least, he told us how to protect our life if the fire had been out of control. The vivid explanation by Mr. Lin left a deep impression on us.
Then, Police Wu introduced how to avoid being swindled to us students. First of all, Mr. Wu told us the address of the police station. Then, he told us how our school attach importance to us students’ safety. What’s more, he told us how to avoid being swindled by giving us some examples.
Finally, by the lead of all the polices, we experienced how to escape from smog ,how to use dry-chemical fire extinguisher and more interesting activities.
This activity improve our students’ consciousness of fire prevention, guard against theft and fraud prevention effectively, which is very important to us student. Let’s express our sincere thanks to all the police who protect our life!
