The School Sports Meeting took place on Nov.10th, 2017. After months of training and fighting, we won the fifth place of the final score, the fourth place of the male's race, the fifth place of female's race and ethic award.
We got the good result due to the fact that all of our school no matter our teachers or students had devoted all the efforts preparing for the Competition. Students had started to plan about the selection of new athletes from the beginning of this term. They had organized more than 2 sport games program aimed at choosing the best one to race on the 912 playground. As for the training, we adopt the mode of one-to-one. Compared to the traditional coach-athlete pattern, this kind of pattern can remarkably cut down the time on training. Students increased their ability during the race between their friends which was playing the role of their coach. We also supplied enough food and water to the athletes to make sure that they had plenty of energy to fight for great achievements. Specially, students from each class came to the playground to cheer for players. They brought two drums and almost broke the hammers only because they obsessed with the game too much.
The leaders as well as teachers of our school also paid much attention on our training. Dean Liu came to the playground to encourage players in the early morning. He told us the stories about his own experience of training for competition dating back to his life in university. And Secretary Zhang and Huang often encourage athletes to train hard and tell them that they are the pride of the school.
Fighting is the game spirit that everyone in our school deeply believes in, and we are surely going to get better and better results in the future competitions.
