About the Lecturer

Dr. Jianjun Li is a Senior Research Officer and Team Lead of Bioanalysis at Human Health Therapeutics of National Research Council (NRC-HHT). He received his B. Sc. in Chemistry and Ph. D. in Analytical Chemistry from Wuhan University, in 1983 and 1993, respectively. Dr. Li’s research has involved the development of high-resolution separation techniques coupled with mass spectrometry and their applications to the structural characterization of various biologically molecules. From 1997 to 2001, he focused on the development of chip-based capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry systems. His current research interest is method development and application for bacterial vaccine and cancer vaccine, including the structure and biosynthesis of bacterial surface carbohydrates and cancer neoantigen presented by major histocompatibility complex (MHC). He is author or co-author of over 200 original peer-reviewed scientific papers, 8 book chapters and edits the book entitled Methods in Functional Glycomics.
