From February 25th to March 11th, 11 undergraduate students from Wuhan University joined student representatives from Hubei University, Xiamen University and Xiamen University of Technology to attend the 11th Sino-Singapore Undergraduate Exchange Programme in Singapore, jointly organized by each nation’s Ministry of Education in order to promote communication and friendship among students.
Throughout the two-week event, Chinese student representatives interacted with many Singaporean students during their visit to multiple universities including National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. They also discussed Singapore’s education system and philosophy with Singaporean Ministry of Education officials and paid a visit to the Chinese Embassy in Singapore as well. At the closing ceremony farewell dinner, students from both countries performed and spoke.
During this program, the Chinese student delegation deepened their knowledge of Singaporean culture by touring Singapore’s Little India, Chinatown and the Malay Village. They also learned about Singapore’s history, current events and future aspirations by visiting the National Museum of Singapore and the Singapore City Gallery.
This May, Singapore will also organize a student delegation to make a reciprocal visit to the four universities in China, including Wuhan University.
