I bet you must have stopped to watch the flag-rising ceremony in front of the administration building and been fascinated by the towering figure and heroic posture of the flag bearers. They, the brilliant flag bearers, share an unusual name---the flag guarders, who are responsible for raising and guarding the national flag on campus at every sunrise.
Their sonorous and firm paces demonstrate WHUers’ down-to-earth spirits;
The national flag in their hands witnesses WHUers’ resolute belief towards their nation.
To ensure every impeccable national flag raising ceremony, the flag guarders start their training at 6:30 a.m. every day. Delicacy and neatness are required in every single motion, from remaining upright to marching.
They come from different schools of Wuhan University while undertaking the same mission--gloriously yet arduously --safeguarding the national flag.
