The Top 10 Models Contest is one of the famous artistic performance in WHU. This year, it was grandly held on Wuhan University’s Plum Playground. Ten catwalk models and eleven plane models were picked and stood out as the top 10 models. Their glamour and charm made that night quite unforgettable, lighting up the enthusiasm silently hidden in the serene and placid campus. Here are some wonderful moments of the show.

It was the aesthetic taste and repetitive practice that made these models perform gracefully in their carefully chosen clothing. But when they were asked to use props randomly assigned by the organizers, their quick responses were also needed. The props included an iron chain, a suitcase, a skateboard, and even a Peppa Pig doll.

Since the event was sponsored by HuaweiTechnologies Corporation, a special section was set for the models to promote its digital products.

After several rounds of competition, the top 10 catwalk models were finally selected. Liu Yanan, one of the top 10 models, expressed her rejoice. She has always been a big fan of catwalk shows and learned a lot from them. “I really enjoy the feeling of showing my way on the stage. It is so cool.” said Liu. But for one glittering moment on the stage and the glory after it, every model has to make great efforts.
Models who failed to win the title also benefited greatly from the contest. Xie Linyang is one among them. She became more confident and has learned a lot about matching clothing from the advice of the professional judges. Xie says she will take part in the contest again next year, “Now that I know how to improve my performance, I will try it again.”

Wu Han
Cai Xun
Wu Han is the champion plane model. Being a model has always been her dream. And she also regards photography as the art of color and angle, so she actually had active communication with the photographers during the contest, who turned out to have given her much experienced advice. Having produced so many beautiful photos, she has already earned high popularity as a freshman.
The jury and audience
“It was terrific,” commented an audience Ao Siyu. In her opinion, a model needs to not only maintain a good look but also make great efforts. Learning and practicing are just as important as good looks. Also, personality is a defining factor in the style. “Good models actually have eyes that can speak,” said Ao.
Such a terrific show, of course, comes from careful work behind the scene. The staff mainly consists of student members from WHU Culture and Art Association. Wang Tiantian is one of them. He is satisfied with the event as the audience spent a great night and the models showed their best, “Their enjoyment makes it worth all our efforts.”
