To produce the results for each of the subject rankings, four sources are synthetically considered: QS’s global surveys of academics and employers, which are used to assess institutions’ international reputation in each subject; research citations per paper and in the relevant subject, which evaluate research impact. These are sourced from Elsevier’s Scopus database, one of the world’s most comprehensive and authentic research citations databases.
