WHU’s Seven Projects Win 2012 National Science and Technology Prizes

At the 2012 National Science and Technology Award Ceremony held in Beijing on January 18th, Wuhan University affiliated projects won a total of seven national science and technology prizes.

The research project “The Construction of Environment Friendly Functional Materials and its Structure-activity Based on Natural Polymer” conducted by WHU Chemistry and Molecular Sciences College professor and China Academy of Science member, Zhang Lina, was awarded the National Natural Science second prize; the research programs directed by, the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering professor, and China Academy of Science and China Academy of Engineering member, Li Deren and WHU School of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering professor Zhou Chuangbing won National Scientific and Research Progress second prizes. 4 other WHU related research projects won National Scientific and Research Progress second prizes.

At the 2012 National Science and Technology Award Ceremony, prizes were awarded to 330 projects and 7 researchers.
