On October 22th, Bruno Delvaux, the rector of Catholic University of Louvain (Universite Catholique de Louvain, UCL), led a delegation to Wuhan University. Executive vice-president Feng Youmei extended a warm welcome to the delegation in the meeting room.
At the meeting, Feng Youmei pointed out that two sides should take this opportunity to strengthen mutual understanding and explore viable cooperation programs in talent cultivation and scientific research, etc.
Bruno Delvaux indicated that UCL is also a comprehensive university embracing diverse branches of learning. Scholars and students from two universities should communicate more and collaborate in European Union programs. High-tech transformation is another field for discussion since UCL has rich experience in it.
UCL delegation visited State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing and medicine department subsequently.
Catholic University of Louvain, founded in 1425, is one of the oldest universities in Europe. The vice-rector of UCL, Professor Mark has visited WHU twice in 2011.
