Upon the invitation extended by Executive Vice President Prof. Li Qingquan, Dr. Carolyn Hodges, Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate School of University of Tennessee at Knoxville arrived in Wuhan on May 15 and will pay a two-week visit to WHU.
During the stay, she will visit WHU Graduate School, Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, Office of Graduate Student Affairs, School of Life Sciences and State Key Lab of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing. She will also deliver a presentation on UTK’s graduate education in Humanities Building South hall on May 26.
This visit is the second time for Dr. Hodges to come to WHU following her first fruitful visit in March 2010. As an important witness and promoter of WHU-UTK’s cooperation, Dr. Hodges has approved the scholarship from UTK to support several postgraduates and doctors from WHU to go on further study at UTK through China Scholarship Council program, well attesting her key efforts in driving forward WHU-UTK’s partnership. It’s hoped that this visit could let the two universities know better, thus creating more opportunities of partnership programs.
