He Lian

He Lian, female, of Han nationality, was born in August 1973. She holds a postgraduate degree and currently serves as an associate researcher. She is a member of the Communist Party of China and serves as a member of the Party Committee and vice president of Wuhan University, where she assists the president in overseeing financial matters, laboratory and equipment management, library resources, museums and archive maintenance, as well as information technology infrastructure development. She is in charge of the Office of Financial Affairs, Laboratory and Equipment Administration Department, Library (Museum), Archives (History Museum), and Information Center. She is the contact person for the following schools: the School of Philosophy, the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, and the School of Political Science and Public Administration.

She previously held positions such as deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Software Engineering, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Computer Science, vice dean of the School of Physics and Technology, and deputy chief of the Division of Enterprise-University-Research Cooperation Division [SS1] at the Office of Scientific Research and Development at Wuhan University.

From May 2013 to April 2019, she served as vice dean and chief of research platforms at the Office of Scientific Research and Development at Wuhan University. From April 2019 to March 2024, she served as director of finance[SS2] at Wuhan University (during this tenure, from September 2021 to February 2024, she concurrently served as director of the Wuhan Synchrotron Radiation Facility Construction Special Office; in November 2021, she assumed the role of assistant to the president of Wuhan University). In March 2024, she was appointed as a member of the Party Committee and vice president of Wuhan University.

Her main part-time social positions include executive director of the Education Accounting Society of China and director of the Wuhan University Education and Development Foundation.
