On March 14, Stephen Morgan, rector of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), Macao Special Administrative Region, led a delegation to Wuhan University (WHU), where they were received by Vice-president Yuan Yufeng.

Yuan welcomed the delegation and outlined WHU's history and international partnerships, highlighting its extensive collaboration with government institutions and universities in Hong Kong and Macao. He hoped for deeper cooperation between WHU and USJ in advancing higher education innovation.
Morgan introduced USJ's unique position as an international Catholic university and its role in bridging the Chinese mainland and global community, particularly Portuguese-speaking countries. He expressed eagerness to strengthen ties with WHU through joint academic conferences and faculty and student exchanges.

Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions, recognizing their respective strengths in philosophy and religious studies and exploring opportunities for collaboration in academic research and talent development.
