From March 30 to April 6, Vice-President Li Ziyuan led a Wuhan University (WHU) delegation to Australia and New Zealand. The team visited Macquarie University, Monash University, and the University of Auckland.

At Macquarie University, Li discussed joint doctoral programs and university-business partnerships with Deputy Vice-Chancellor Sakkie Pretorius and other university leaders. The two institutions signed a memorandum of understanding to further their collaboration.

During their visit to Monash University, Li Ziyuan and Vice-Chancellor Sunny Yang explored civil engineering and advanced manufacturing cooperation, focusing on interdisciplinary talent development. The delegation also toured the university's engineering labs and research facilities.

At the University of Auckland, Li Ziyuan met with Deputy Vice-Chancellor Erik Lithander and department representatives. The two sides signed agreements on English language teaching and pharmaceuticals, deepening their talent development and research cooperation.
The delegation also visited the Consulate General in Sydney and the Consulate General in Auckland, where they discussed China-Australia and China-New Zealand educational collaboration and thanked the consulates for their support.
This visit strengthened WHU's cooperation and alumni engagement in Australia and New Zealand.
