Qu Wenqian, chairman of the Wuhan University (WHU) Council, recently joined the "China-Brazil and China-Chile Higher Education Delegation", visiting leading universities in both countries to expand academic cooperation.

The delegation included 26 representatives from 14 Chinese universities and organizations.

In Brazil, Qu attended the China-Brazil University Presidents' Dialogue in Brasilia, co-hosted by the China Education Association for International Exchange and the Brazilian Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel. The event brought together over 200 participants from more than 80 universities and institutions. Qu delivered a keynote speech on the challenges and opportunities of China-Brazil student mobility.

In Chile, Qu participated in the China-Chile Education Exchange at Universidad San Sebastian, where he met with President Hugo Lavados Montes. He also engaged in discussions with representatives from over 10 Chilean universities, including the University of Chile and the University of Concepcion, promoting WHU and Chinese study opportunities at a student information session.

The delegation also visited several top institutions, including the University of Brasilia, the University of Sao Paulo, and Sao Paulo State University.
