Wuhan University premiered its original play, "Zhou Enlai at Luojia Mountain", on Nov 27, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The play is set during the early years of the war, from 1937 to 1938, and recreates the period when the late Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai (1898-1976) lived in an apartment on Luojia Mountain.

During this time, Zhou worked to unite students and faculty in the fight against Japanese aggression.
The play highlights Zhou’s genuine and profound interactions with the university community, illustrating how his noble character and charismatic leadership inspired a group of young students to embrace their convictions and join the national salvation movement.
