WHU hosts Sino-French academic committee meeting

The bilateral academic committee meeting of the Sino-French Joint Research Center for Mathematics at Wuhan University (WHU) was held on Feb 3.

The meeting, conducted online, was chaired by Academician Zhang Weiping of Nankai University and featured prominent scholars, including Academician Zhang Pingwen, WHU's president, and experts from Chinese and French academic institutions.

Zhang Pingwen presented a vision for the future development of the Sino-French Joint Research Center, emphasizing that WHU would continue to foster deeper collaboration in talent development, scientific research, and academic exchanges. Professor Marc Rosso from Paris Cité University introduced the formation of the French academic committee and shared cooperative plans proposed by four French universities involved in the initiative.

Committee members from both sides engaged in dialogue on key topics such as collaboration frameworks, talent development strategies, academic activities, and scholar exchanges. They provided numerous constructive suggestions and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation, positioning the center as a vital platform for Sino-French mathematical exchanges.
