The workshop brought together over 20 experts from China, the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, India, and Singapore to discuss the technical and legal challenges of coordinating lunar surface activities, including astronomical observation, scientific research, and resource development.

WHU's Deep Space Exploration International Governance from a Multidisciplinary Perspective research team explores deep space governance through the lenses of international law, international relations, surveying, remote sensing, and astronomy. It has made huge strides in the development of interdisciplinary platforms, research collaboration, talent cultivation, and mentorship for academic competitions.
