Suzhou's Story, a map designed by graduate students from the School of Resource and Environmental Sciences at Wuhan University (WHU), has won the prestigious Arthur Robinson Award for Best Printed Map, the only award of its kind at the 52nd Annual Map Design Competition, hosted by the Cartography and Geographic Information Society (CaGIS).

Supervised by Professors Su Shiliang, Weng Min, and Kang Mengjun, the team spent a year meticulously crafting Suzhou's Story. The map combines 3D digital technology with narrative cartography, vividly bringing to life Suzhou's rich history, cultural heritage, and urban landscape. This achievement adds to the growing list of international accolades for Professor Su Shiliang's team, following previous wins such as the Garsdale Design 3D Award, Best Map Award, and the Stanfords Award for Printed Mapping.
