May 8, 2025

From April 21 to 26, a delegation led by Chen Taotao, vice-dean of the School of International Education at Wuhan University (WHU), visited Mongolia and Russia to promote student recruitment and explore new partnerships, achieving productive outcomes.

Chen Taotao (R), vice-dean of the School of International Education at Wuhan University, meets with dean of the School of Law at National University of Mongolia.

In Mongolia, the delegation visited the National University of Mongolia and reached a preliminary agreement to launch a fully English-taught joint master's program in law, with plans to align curricula and share faculty resources.

The Wuhan University delegation meets with representatives of Baikal State University.

In Russia, the delegation met with Baikal State University to discuss a "1+1" international business master's program and a "2+2" undergraduate program in e-commerce. Both sides agreed to move forward with formal agreements. A cooperation plan was also proposed with the Irkutsk Chinese School for short-term programs this fall. Through local educational institutions, the team distributed scholarship brochures and collected information from over 50 prospective students.

Tailored to the needs of Russian and Mongolian students, the visit promoted English-taught, credit-recognized programs, strengthened alumni engagement, and enhanced outreach through coordinated online and offline initiatives. The trip significantly boosted WHU's profile in the region and laid a solid foundation for future enrollment and multifaceted collaboration.
