September 19, 2025

On Sept 16, the General Logistics Department of Wuhan University (WHU) signed a green low-carbon campus pilot construction agreement and an operation and maintenance framework agreement with Wuhan NARI Limited Liability Company of State Grid Electric Power Research Institute (SGEPRI).

WHU and SGEPRI sign agreements to build a smart low-carbon campus.

The partnership aims to develop a leading model for smart low-carbon campuses in China, focusing on green campus systems, management, and power operation services.

WHU Vice-President Zhu Deyou emphasized that this collaboration will lay a solid foundation for exploring new low-carbon campus models and advancing the national "dual carbon" strategy. He expressed hope for deeper cooperation in talent cultivation, employment, low-carbon campus construction, and the integration of research and industry.

Liu Hao, an executive from NARI, highlighted the opportunity to effectively promote the integration of education, research, and industry. He sees this partnership as a way to explore new models for low-carbon development in universities and to pave new paths for the construction of green campuses nationwide.

Representatives from NARI also presented research and industry reports on topics such as green modern smart supply chains, high-end manufacturing, university-enterprise cooperation, and low-carbon campus development.
