First 'China-Europe Innovation Forum' held at WHU

On Sept 23-24, the first "China-Europe Innovation Forum" was held at Wuhan University (WHU). It was jointly organized by WHUs School of Economics and Management, the Hubei Institute of High-Level Open Innovation, and the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) in Austria.

Over 50 university professors and representatives from research institutions from China and various European countries attended, aiming to explore China-Europe cooperation.

Zhang Pingwen, president of WHU, and Chen Huarong, first-level inspector from the Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce, delivered speeches during the event.

Zhang emphasized that the first "China-Europe Innovation Forum" aims to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Europe, deepening interactions between the two regions. Chen noted that the forum focuses on industrial innovation and cooperation, discussing opportunities and challenges in China-Europe cooperation in an effort to promote collaboration between the two sides.

With the theme of "Innovation, Governance, Cooperation", the forum focused on cooperation between China and Europe in governance innovation, educational innovation, and business and industrial innovation in the public health sector. It featured 14 specialized thematic presentations and three roundtable forums on the development of innovation cooperation between China and Europe.

European experts and scholars visited two high-tech medical companies in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone, where they conducted on-site research on the development achievements of Hubei's health industry.
