A delegation led by Cheng Fan, president of Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, embarked on a visit to Italy, France, and the Netherlands from Sept 17 to 26.
The delegation engaged with prestigious institutions such as Paris Cité University, Sorbonne University, and the Pasteur Institute in France, along with the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands Cancer Institute, and Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
The forums were designed to attract scholars, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD candidates specializing in medicine and life sciences. Cheng outlined the hospital's high-caliber talent development and recruitment plans, inviting people to participate in their innovative programs.
Yu Lilei, Party secretary of the hospital, and Peng Guoliang, vice-president of the hospital, emphasized the hospital's commitment to talent development, showcasing its academic research platforms and innovative achievements.
In-depth discussions with experts and scholars from European universities and hospitals, including Humanitas University and University Hospital of Verona in Italy, as well as Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris, led to agreements on future collaborations.
This initiative is poised to infuse new energy into the hospital's talent development efforts, supporting its goals for high-quality growth and international collaboration.
