WHU delegation visits France to strengthen medical cooperation

A delegation from Wuhan University, led by Vice-president Yuan Yufeng, recently traveled to France to deepen cooperation with French medical institutions in areas such as clinical diagnosis and treatment, talent development, and hospital management.

The delegation participated in the fourth China-France Forum on Translational Medicine and Precision Diagnosis at the French National Academy of Medicine, where it presented a special report highlighting the latest research findings and innovative strategies in diagnosis and treatment.

They met with key figures including Antoine Le Solleuz, deputy mayor of Nancy; Cecile Nouvel, vice-president of the University of Lorraine; and Stephane Zuily, dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lorraine, and signed several agreements on joint medical talent development, clinical skills training, and the co-establishment of research platforms.

The delegation also visited the Regional and University Hospital Center of Nancy, where they toured clinical departments and the surgical virtual simulation training center, gaining insight into France's advanced practices in emergency medicine management, multidisciplinary collaboration, and smart healthcare systems.
