
Wuhan University recently convened the 2026 multidisciplinary polar research forum, bringing together experts and scholars to explore the integration and advancement of polar research.
The forum showcased specialized reports and facilitated discussions on a diverse array of topics, including marine environment and sea-level changes, polar space environment, and architecture in polar regions.
Jiang Weiping, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, encouraged the university's faculty and students to engage in meaningful and in-depth collaboration centered on major scientific questions.
The aim is to achieve groundbreaking, high-level research outcomes in the polar domain and to convert scientific strengths into educational advantages, fostering the development of multidisciplinary innovative talents.
A roundtable meeting was also held, where experts discussed how to further advance multidisciplinary polar research.
