The second China-Vietnam anti-corruption seminar commenced on Aug 7 at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Danang Campus, Vietnam.
The seminar, themed "Building the rule of law state, controlling power, and preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negative practices: The experience of Vietnam and China", was hosted by Wuhan University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi, the Academy of Politics Region III, and the Viet Nam Philosophical Association.
The seminar brought together experts and scholars from institutions such as the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under Vietnam National University Hanoi, and Chinese universities including Jilin University, Southeast University, and Zhengzhou University.
Participants discussed topics such as institutional mechanisms for combating corruption, building a culture of integrity, and developing legal systems in both countries.
Scholars shared their theoretical insights and practical experiences in anti-corruption efforts, recognizing the shared mission of preserving the health of ruling parties in both socialist countries.
They called for continued theoretical exchange and anticorruption strategies rooted in socialist principles and adapted to national conditions.
The first seminar was held in November 2025 at Wuhan University, focusing on the theme "Mutual Learning from the Anti-Corruption Systems and Experiences of the Communist Parties and Countries of China and Vietnam".
The third seminar will be held in China in 2027.
