The "Digital Intelligence-Driven Systematic Protection and Interactive Narratives of Cultural Heritage" International Summer School took place at Wuhan University from July 1 to 5. The event welcomed 31 participants from the United States, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF-Asie).

This year's summer school provided a wide range of courses, including theoretical lectures, practical training, and fieldwork. The curriculum balanced technical detail with broad industry insights, covering topics like digitalization of cultural relics, practical methods for revitalizing cultural heritage, UNESCO development ideas, and research in cultural visualization. This created a varied platform for both learning and hands-on experience.

Over the five-day academic program, participants took part in diverse activities, including specialized lectures, hands-on training, field trips, and cross-cultural exchanges. These sessions provided a thorough understanding of both theoretical approaches and practical strategies for enhancing cultural heritage protection and dissemination using digital intelligence technologies.

During field studies, participants visited the Intellectual Computing Laboratory for Cultural Heritage at Wuhan University. The lab team provided an in-depth explanation of their core achievements in the digital protection of cultural heritage, such as the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, and in high-precision cultural relics collection.

Nguyen Doan Linh Chau from AUF-Asie expressed that the visit offered insights into various intriguing research projects and advanced technology applications, sparking her interest in scientific research and innovation.

Bridging digital intelligence and cultural heritage, this summer school has equipped young scholars with the knowledge, perspectives, and friendships to become a new force connecting China's heritage efforts with those of the world.
