The University of Wollongong delegation visits Wuhan University on Nov 4.

A delegation from the University of Wollongong (UOW), led by Chancellor G.Q. Max Lu AO, visited Wuhan University (WHU) on Nov 4 to discuss enhancing collaboration.

Zhang Pingwen, president of WHU, welcomed the delegation and highlighted the university's recent advancements in information technology and digital education. He expressed a strong interest in expanding research collaboration, particularly in Antarctic remote sensing technology, and broadening the scope of cooperation.

Lu reaffirmed UOW's commitment to its partnership with WHU, emphasizing the importance of strengthening research and talent development exchanges.

The discussions also explored potential collaboration opportunities in fields such as information technology, engineering management, and business analytics. The delegation toured WHU's Cultural Heritage Intelligent Computing Laboratory and the Australian Studies Center.

Founded in 1975, UOW has maintained a stable student exchange relationship with WHU since 2017.
