I. Supportive Policies
(1) Hongyi Scholars
There are vacant positions in the schools of philosophy, arts, history, mathematics and statistics, physics and technology, chemistry and molecular sciences, computer science and cyber science and engineering.
a. Specially invited professors
Position benefits: Successful candidates are expected to be provided with full professorship with fixed teaching positions, an annual salary starting from 900,000 yuan (pre-tax, excluding special project grants), and merit pay schemes for research and high-level findings.
Team building: Successful candidates are eligible for the recruitment of a doctoral student majoring in liberal arts or two doctoral students majoring in sciences each year (including the quotas for research-funded doctoral students) and entitled to enjoy the school-level quota allocation of doctoral students. Meanwhile, they are expected to recruit two postdoctoral students, build their own research teams, and apply for research fund by the case-by-case approval mechanism.
Housing subsidies: Successful candidates will be provided with pre-tax housing subsidies of three million yuan or talent apartments, together with other national and regional supportive measures. Additionally, they shall be covered with a pre-tax rental subsidy of 3,500 yuan per month in the first two years of their employment.

b. Young Hongyi Scholars

II. Qualifications and Requirements
(1) Specially invited Hongyi Professors
The candidates should adhere to the correct political direction, have high moral character and rigorous style of study, and be recognized as national high-level leading talents. Additionally, they shall have achieved internationally advanced research results recognized by academic circles at home and abroad, and enjoy a high reputation and influence in this field at home and abroad. The applicants’ age should not be over 60 years old.
(2) Young Hongyi Scholars
The candidates should adhere to the correct political direction, have high moral character and rigorous style of study, and be recognized as national high-level young talents. Additionally, they shall be at the top-notch academic level among scholars of the same age group in this subject at home and abroad, and enjoy a certain level of popularity and influence. Candidates for liberal arts shall not be aged over 50 years old, and the candidates for science and engineering shall not be aged over 40 years old.
(3) Outstanding young liberal arts scholars
The candidates should adhere to the correct political direction, have high moral character and rigorous style of study, and achieve high-level landmark research results. Their academic level shall rank among the top among scholars of the same age group in related disciplines. Additionally, they are expected to showcase the potentials to become a national high-level young talent and win the qualifications of being shortlisted for the evaluation of the national talent plan. The applicants shall be not aged over 45 years old.
(4) Tenure-track professional titles
The candidates should adhere to the correct political direction, have high moral character and rigorous style of study, hold the same position in world-class universities, scientific research institutions or world-class disciplines or have a considerable academic level, be capable of undergoing independent development and leading the academic development direction, and exhibit significant development potential. More specifically, the candidates for tenured professors should be national high-level leading talents and talents with the same level or talents with the corresponding academic level of the same position in first-class universities. The candidates for tenured associate professors should be capable of becoming national high-level leading talents. The candidates for associate professor with tenure-track should be national high-level young talents or talents at the same level after evaluation. The candidates for assistant professor with tenure-track should have the potential to become national high-level young talents. Candidates for the above-mentioned positions shall be not aged over 40 years old.
