The 7th Boao International Art Festival National Showcase took place at the Boao Forum for Asia International Conference Center from Jan 23 to 25. Wuhan University (WHU) art troupe delivered a remarkable performance, securing three gold medals and one silver in the dance and vocal categories.

The dance troupe's performance, Echoes in the Mountains, was featured at the festival's opening ceremony and won the Gold Award in the Youth A Group. Under the guidance of instructor Zhang Yuanjun, who received the Outstanding Instructor Award, the piece celebrated China's agricultural heritage, drawing from Nuo culture and farming symbols to highlight the reverence and harmony between humanity and nature.

Three WHU teams won two golds and one silver in the vocal category. Cong Qiancheng's rendition of A Moment in Time earned a Gold Award, while Ye Xincheng's Riding a White Horse performance won a Silver Award. The ensemble, including Deng Fangyuan and four other singers, captured the audience's attention with Fragrant Xiangxi River, securing another Gold Award. Their instructor, Lei Yuan, was also recognized with the Outstanding Instructor Award.

The festival brought together artists and participants from 65 cities across China and international representatives from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Austria, and Italy. This cultural celebration showcased diverse artistic expressions, providing attendees with an engaging and immersive experience.
