The 2025 Wuhan University (WHU)-Duke Kunshan University (DKU) Luoying Student Exchange Camp, which took place from March 11 to 15 at WHU, brought together 37 faculty members and students from DKU, representing 11 countries.

The program offered participants an immersive experience of WHU's rich cultural heritage and academic excellence while strengthening collaboration between the two universities and fostering cross-cultural exchange.

The camp started with a welcome banquet, where students and faculty bonded through interactive games, setting the stage for the days ahead. On March 12, the opening ceremony featured speeches from university representatives, encouraging participants to embrace the exchange as a valuable learning opportunity. Yao Yunxuan, a student at the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, delivered an English lecture introducing WHU. In the afternoon, attendees toured the Wanlin Art Museum, the History Museum, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, gaining insights into the university's history, artistic achievements, and technological advancements.

On March 13, students gathered at the Library's Future Learning Center for a cultural exchange session, where they worked on bilingual translations of classical Chinese poetry, sparking insightful cross-cultural discussions. Later, they participated in a traditional Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220) embroidery workshop, where an intangible cultural heritage expert guided them through intricate stitching techniques, offering a hands-on Chinese craftsmanship experience.

March 14 began with a visit to Yellow Crane Tower, which offers panoramic views of the Yangtze River. The group then explored the Hubei Provincial Museum, where they watched a performance of the Zeng Houyi Chime Bells and admired ancient lacquerware exhibits, delving into Hubei's rich history.
The camp concluded on March 15 with a closing ceremony. Students reflected on campus life, cultural differences, and educational systems, engaging in meaningful discussions that broadened their perspectives.
