Spring flash mobs light up WHU

Wuhan University's (WHU) "Echoes of Youth" art flash mob brought the campus to life with vibrant performances celebrating the cherry blossom season on March 22. Organized by the university's Art Troupe under the Art Education Center, the event welcomed returning alumni with music, dancing, and poetry at iconic campus locations.

The day began in front of the Wanlin Art Museum, where the university's Symphony Orchestra opened with a medley from La La Land, followed by beloved themes from Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, and Waves of the Danube.

At Kunpeng Square, the Dance Troupe performed an expressive lineup including Cherry Blossom Soliloquy, the duet Lover, classical fan dance Graceful Beauty, a group poetry reading, the upbeat Green Apple Paradise, and the ballet Voices of Spring.

Outside the Building of Science, the Haiyan Choir serenaded passersby with spring-themed classics such as Longing for the Spring Breeze, Letter from the Clouds, and My Motherland and I, prompting many alumni to pause and reminisce.

In the afternoon, the Pop Band Workshop returned to the museum square with energetic renditions of Flying Forward with Joy, Detective Conan, Wayfarer, Don't Look Back in Anger, and Flowers.
